This kit includes:

• Clack 890 in/out head, 3/4" BSP ports
• Riser and screens
• Juraperle
• Funnel

pH systems would normally be back washed at regular intervals to clear the media of debris and ensure it isn't able to solidify. As this system utilises a simple in/out head it should be plumbed in reverse i.e. the inlet pipe goes to the outlet of the head and the outlet pipe goes to the inlet port of the head. This has the effect of sending flow down the centre tube and up through the media bed (UPFLOW filtration), thus reducing the chances of the media being able to settle and solidify*.

The juraperle (calcium carbonate) raises pH by slowly dissolving into your water. This means the media needs topping up from time to time.

The consumption rate of the juraperle depends on site conditions.

*Note: If the inlet water contains iron or manganese it is recommended to use a backwashing unit instead to prevent media binding.
