Filox can be used for iron and manganese reduction by oxidation. Like Birm the pH needs to be controlled and there needs to be oxygen present. In theory it can tolerate chlorine and has a higher through put than Birm and manganese dioxide.

It is similar toBirm but slightly more robust. It requires a pH of 7 or more for iron removal and 8 for manganese removalplus a dissolved oxygen level of at least 15% of the iron and manganese content. It needs a high backwash flow rate to remove the oxidised iron and manganese. Filox can be mixed with pH media and sand to remove particles and increase the pH all in one system (ask for pricing).

This Filox unit is supplied partailly assembled for shipping. Some assembly will be required. All components and instructions will be supplied.

The Filox unit size is the physical size of the vessel given in inches (eg 10" x 44").

The figure in cubic feet (cu.ft) is the volume of the Filox.

The lph (litres per hour) figure is the maximum flow rate.
