Product Description
This softener is meter controlled which means that the softener measures the water being treated then automatically regenerates when it needs to.
All Swan softeners are the same size 1190mm h x325mm w x 520mm d
This water softener is available in four resin volumes:
18 litre:
The service flow rate is 720 l/hr although it is capable of higher flow rates.
Its **capacity at 300 ppm calcium carbonate is 3000 litres.
25 litre:
The service flow rate is 1000 l/hr although it is capable of higher flow rates.
Its **capacity at 300 ppm calcium carbonate is 4167 litres.
30 litre:
The service flow rate is 1200 l/hr although it is capable of higher flow rates.
Its **capacity at 300 ppm calcium carbonate is 5000 litres.
35 litre:
The service flow rate is 1400 l/hr although it is capable of higher flow rates.
Its **capacity at 300 ppm calcium carbonate is 5833 litres.
* Regeneration refers to the process a water softener goes through to "regenerate" or clean its resin ready to be re-used. This is done automatically by the softener by passing a salt solution through the resin typically once a week and is usually done during a period where the softener is unlikely to be used i.e. 2:00 am.
**The capacity of the resin is the amount of water that can be treated before the resin becomes exhausted and must be "regenerated". The figures given above assume a calcium carbonaet level of 300 parts per million (ppm). If your CaCO3 level is lower the capacity of your resin will be greater, if it is higher then the capacity will be lower. The easiest way to get your hardness level is to call your water supplier and ask them for the average figure for your area.
Maximum flow rate: 58 l/min
Pressure: 1.5 to 8 bar
